THE MONOGRAPH MINERAL-RAW MATERIAL COMPLEX OF KOSOVO AND METOHIJA has been published by the Mining Institute Belgrade and the Geological Survey of Serbia. Eleven authors worked on the monograph, in addition to Professor Dr. Slobodan Vujić, editor-in-chief, participated in writing the monograph: Prof. Dr. Rade Jelenković, Prof. Dr. Dragoman Rabrenović, Dr. Milinko Radosavljević, Prof. Dr. Nadežda Ćalić, Prof. Dr. Branislav Nikolic, Grad. Eng. Svetlana Simić, Dr. Svetomir Maksimović, Grad. Eng. Simo Mojić, Dr. Miomir Komatina and Dr. Branko Miladinović.
The complex topic is rationally, completely, professionally acceptable to a wider circle of readers, systematized on 332 pages in eight chapters: Historical vertical of Serbian mining; Geological structure of the area of Kosovo and Metohija; Non-ferrous metal ore deposits and exploitation; Coal deposits and exploitation; Deposits and exploitation of non-metallic minerals; Hydrogeological potentials; Reconstruction, development and collapse; and Realizations with 1467 bibliographic units.

THE MONOGRAPH OF SIX DECADES OF THE MINING INSTITUTE BELGRADE has been published by the Mining Institute Belgrade. The sixtieth birthday of the Mining Institute inspired the author, Professor Dr. Slobodan Vujić, to research the past and facts about the achievements and contributions of the Institute to mining, mining science and engineering. On 400 pages, numerous scientific, technical and technological details, bibliography with nearly 7,300 items and other factual contributions with photographs, testify to the achievements of the Institute, from its founding until today. The book includes a CD with a short documentary about the Institute.

CAPITAL WORKS PERFORMED on the renovation of the main building of the Mining Institute: the roof covering was replaced, the electrical installation was partially reconstructed, the interior was adapted and arranged, the facade was renovated, the window joinery was replaced, the green areas were renovated, etc. View photo and video gallery.

ELECTION OF DIRECTOR OF THE MINING INSTITUTE. Dr. Milinko Radosavljević, graduated mining engineer, with the full support of the Assembly, the Scientific Council, and the consent of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia, was elected director of the Mining Institute for the new period.

UNIVERSITY OF BELGRADE, FACULTY OF PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY, 06/25/2020, MSc phys. chem. Sandra Petkovicresearch associate of the Mining Institute of Belgrade, defended a doctoral dissertation with a topic “Kinetics of adsorption and hydrodynamic cavitation removal of phenol from wastewater”, mentor Dr Borivoj Adnadjevic, full professor at the Faculty of Physical Chemistry, University of Belgrade.

REPUBLIC OF SERBIA GEOLOGICAL SURVEY OF SERBIA, Dec 24, 2019
On the occasion of three significant anniversaries of Serbian geological science and engineering, at a ceremony at the Geological Survey of Serbia, on December 24, 2019, it was presented to the Mining Institute of Тhank-you note for successful cooperation, and to the Assistant Director of Science, the Charter for outstanding contribution in promoting geology and successful cooperation. ASSEMBLY OF THE SERBIAN SOCIETY FOR ROCK MECHANICS, Belgrade, 12.12. 2019.
At the Assembly of the Serbian Society for Rock Mechanics, held on December 12, 2019 at the Faculty of Mining and Geology, University of Belgrade. INSTITUTE FOR STANDARDIZATION OF SERBIA, September 29, 2019
On the occasion of 85 years of standardization, the Institute for Standardization of Serbia awarded a letter of thanks to Nenad Radosavljević, B.Sc. eng. of mining, to a representative of the Belgrade Mining Institute, for a significant contribution to the development, implementation and promotion of standards and to the improvement of standardization in the Republic of Serbia. SRPSKI KRIVAK ASSOCIATION, Belgrade, November 18, 2019
On occasion marking the 60th anniversary of the Mining Institute аt the ceremonial academy awarded to the Charter of the Board of the Srpski Кrivak Association,  to Mining Institute for special merit and contributions development of mining science and engineering,  and to full members Dr. Milinko Radosavljević, director of the Mining institute, and Prof. Dr. Slobodan Vujić, foreign member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the winner of the Srpski Кrivak Award, for their exceptional contribution to the work and results of the Mining Institute. Elacite Copper Mine, Etropole, Bulgaria, September 27-29, 2019.
Аssociates of the Mining Institute Dragan Milošević, Željko Praštalo, Violeta Čolaković, Vladan Čanović and Prof. Dr. Slobodan Vujić, on invitation as guest a studio to visit Elacite Copper Mine 27-29. September 2019. With annual production of 15 million tonnes of ore, 40 million cubic meters of tailings and 270 thousand tonnes of copper concentrate (22% Cu), the Elacite mine is today the largest copper ore mine in Europe, with automated production processes of the highest technical and technological standards. The visit was very successfully completed with a extremely cordial collegial reception. See photo gallery.

Minsk-Soligorsk, Belarus, September 5-6, 2019.
At the session of the High Academic Council and the Presidium of the Eurasian Academy of Mining Sciences, held on September 5-6, 2019 in Soligorsk near Minsk, Belarus, associates of the Mining Institute of Belgrade were elected as full members of the Eurasian Academyof Mining Science: Prof. Dr. Slobodan Vujić, Dr. Milinko Radosavljević and Dr. Svetomir Maksimović. As President of the Balkan Academy of Mining Sciences, Prof. Vujić was elected a member of the High Academic Council of the Eurasian Academy of Mining Sciences.

UNIVERSITY OF BELGRADE FACULTY OF PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY, 09/27/2018, Mr Mihajlo Gigov, graduated phys. chem., research associate of the Mining Institute of Belgrade, defended a doctoral dissertation with a topic “Effect of thermal, ultrasound and microwave field on isothermal fullerol formation”, mentor Dr Borivoj Adnađević, full professor at the Faculty of Physical Chemistry, University of Belgrade.

DEPUTY DIRECTOR FOR SCIENCE A MEMBER OF THE EDITORIAL BOARD OF THE “MINING JOURNAL”. At the meeting of the editorial board of the “Mining Јournal”, held in Moscow on April 24, 2018, unanimously for the member of the editorial board elected Prof. Dr. Slobodan Vujić, deputy director for science of the Mining Institute Belgrade. The Јournal is published monthly in continuity from 1825.

VISIT OF THE DELEGATION OF THE PUBLISHING HOUSE “ORE & METALS”, Belgrade, 15-18. April 2018. Guests of the Mining Institute of Belgrade were Prof. Dr. Vorobev Alexsander Grigorevich editor-in-chief and Tsirulnikov Evgeniy Vladimirovich, deputy general director of the Publishing House “Ore & Metals” from Moscow, a major publisher of scientific and professional literature and leading scientific and economic-technical journals included in international databases: “Mining Journal”, “Non-ferrous metals”, “Mineral processing”, “Ferrous Metals, “Eurasian Mining”, and “Museums”. During the visit, the following was considered: the establishment of cooperation between the “Mining Journal” and “Bulletin of Mines” (the first issue of 1903) of the oldest mining journal in the Balkans, published today by the Mining Institute of Belgrade, also exchange of publications, economic and scientific information, mutual representation, organization of exhibitions, professional and scientific meetings, establishment of scientific and professional contacts, etc. The guests visited our mining basins RTB Bor and EPS TE-KO Kostolac. “MINING JOURNAL” ABOUT THE PROFESSOR VUJIĆ, Moscow, No. 2246, January 2018. In the first issue of the 2018 year “Mining Journal”, today’s oldest mining journal, which has been continuously published since 1825 (2249 issues in April 2018), page 62 is dedicated to Prof. Dr. Slobodan Vujić, deputy director for the science of the Mining Institute of Belgrade. Under the title “SLOBODAN VUJIĆ FIRST FOREIGN MEMBER OF THE RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCE” and the appropriate text, it is announced that on November 28, 2017 the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician Prof. Dr. A.M. MINIG AND GEOLOGY TODAY, international symposium, held in Belgrade 18-20. September 2017, organizers Mining Institute Belgrade, Balkan Academy of Mining Sciences and Academy of Engineering Sciences of Serbia. In the Proceedings of the 418 pages published 41 papers, 108 authors from 10 countries.

VII BALKAN MINING CONGRESS – Held 11-13. October 2017 in Prijedor, Republic of Srpska Bosnia and Herzegovina, organizer of the Faculty of Mining Prijedor University in Banja Luka. In the Proceedings of the Works, in two volumes on the 662 page published 87 papers, 221 authors from 15 countries.

BALKAN ACADEMY OF MINING SCIENCES – ELECTIONS
